EPOC General Hospital is the Centre of Excellence for all your medical Psion & EPOC palmtop needs.   I aim to provide a useful source of information on Psion application in Surgery and Medicine, as well as provide a source of useful software for the Psion.I hope to provide a useful resource for all Medics. I would like to encourage feedback and support. Tell me what you would like to see on this site & I will try accommodate you.

• MediNotes Database
• Where was this when I was a House Officer / intern?
• MediNotes is a massive Psion EPOC Database File containing many assorted useful medical facts & figures, useful if you like to have this sort of information at your fingertips.  It contains details of many standard reference ranges, as well as other useful management protocols, infusion calculations, various conversions, medical emergencies, and notes on the usage of a number of common drugs.
• The Restricted Version available from this website has had many of the fields in the database removed to limit its functionality.  The full version has all the fields left intact and is avilable only from the 'Palmaris Website'.  The author's website (Jason Wolfe) is here.

• A Psion Word file that helps in planning strabismus (squint ) surgery.

• An excellent Differential Diagnosis Databse for your pocket. Using the speed of TomeRaider this little gem will assist you in coming to that difficult diagnosis, especially for the more obscure areas. Thanks to Gordon Herd.

• MyDoktor - ECG
• MyDoktor continues to improve. I have had a look at the ECG database file & it is IMPRESSIVE! This is what the Psion is designed for. Normal and all abnormal ECG's are presented - Graphs and clinical notes. Superb graphics & differential diagnostic lists.

• Engineering Tools - useful for Biomechanics researchers. From PocketIQ.

• Exam Schemes

• This is a EPOC Word file containing a comprehensive list of schemes for examining different regions of the body. It is primarily of use for those studying for the MRCS examinations, but will also be of use to Medical Students

• Fracture

• This application provides details of a large number of fracture classification systems which are in common and less common usage. Sources are also quoted, for further information if required. Matt Fletcher is in the progress of expanding it to include general Orthopaedic classification systems as well. A great help when you cannot remember that obscure system you were reading about the other week (Do you know the Bado Classification of Monteggia fracture dislocations? If not, this is the program for you!).
